NotesMedic Toolkit™

 NotesMedic™ has evolved into a suite of Lotus Notes
client tools entitled the NotesMedic Toolkit™! This new software
package still contains all the features of the previous NotesMedic™
versions in addition to many more. We are sure you will find these
new tools a great addition to our Product line
Overview
The NotesMedic Toolkit contains a suite of Tools that make life
easier when using Lotus Notes. These tools are as follows:
NotesMedic
This is the application that started it all. The latest release
contains the following features:
- Clean up Lotus Notes when it crashes, and then launch Lotus
Notes with a single click.
- Ability to launch Lotus Notes version 8 classic client
(-sa)
- Terminates all processes using the core Lotus Notes libraries.
This means that it will kill any application whether in the Lotus
Notes folder or not.
- Will re-launch applications that are still needed (e.g.,
Blackberry Desktop)
- Shuts down Lotus Notes debuggers (NSD and QNC)to allow faster
Lotus Notes restart
- Command Line option available to run NotesMedic silently
- Skins available to customize the appearance of the
application
- Option to store multiple applications to launch from NotesMedic
(e.g, Administrator or Designer client)
- Option to use a notes.ini file not located in the Lotus Notes
exe directory
- Works with servers, and is available as a command line options
(e.g., notesmedic.exe -r.....restart Domino)
- Support for Installshield Transform (MST), and silent
installations
- Auto update process allows you to obtain the latest releases
faster than ever
Password Bi-Pass
This feature allows users to store their Lotus Notes ID and
Password in the NotesMedic Toolkit. The specific features are as
follows:
- Saves time by not requiring you to enter a Lotus Notes
password
- Allows for storing a combination of 5 Lotus Notes IDs
- Great to use if you are a developer using multiple test
ids
Note-This information is stored with 128 bit encryption.
Desktop Optimizer
This new application allows for running a series of processes on
the client (outside of Lotus Notes) with the single click of a
button. This is a useful feature for any help desk, as a user can
be instructed to run this process prior to calling the help desk.
The features available with this program are:

- Can be used to update the On Disc Structure (ODS) to later
versions
- Fixup (to fix damaged databases)
- Supports any standard Fixup Parameter

- Supports any standard Updall Parameter
- Compact the desktop

- Used to increase performance and decrease file size
- Recreate log file

- Helpful for resolving common problems with missing or outdated
design elements in databases
- Recreate local mail box

- Helpful for resolving common problems with missing or outdated
design elements with web sites accessed using Lotus Notes web
navigator
- Can resolve issues with image problems with html emails
BookMark Manager
This feature allows you to bookmark Lotus Notes applications from
the System Tray or within the main NotesMedic window. Thus,
allowing you to open Lotus Notes and go straight to your mail file
or other application with the single click of a button.
